Both road and aviation certification are in progress or complete. The Liberty received European road admission in 2020. The RDW granted PAL-V its automotive production approval (Initial Assessment) in March 2026, and EASA granted the aviation Production Organisation Approval on September 7, 2026 — together these allow industrial-scale production. The final aviation step, the EASA type certificate for the production aircraft, is expected around 2027–2028 with first deliveries targeted for 2028. US (FAA-side) certification processes follow the European program.
